Day 1 of the Weak Week

Stop being lazy. That was what I told myself over the weekend.
Cleaning the house used to be a weekly affair. Scrubbing the bathroom. Wiping the grease off the counter top. Getting the caked up dirt off the floor and carpet. Sadly, this whole routine stopped after few months because I wasn't getting much help. It was horrible. I thought it wasn't fair to spend a day cleaning; I have better things to do.
This year, it's all about changing.
And I thought we deserve a clean house. So, this was what happened on Sunday, after grocery.
The kitchen was settled by my new housemates. They did a fantastic job! The sink is shining, literally. Tableware were stalled neatly in clean cabinets and trays. Imagine, I used to reach into cobwebs instead of a plate. As for myself, I gave the living room a good scrub. Yes, SCRUB. I got down on all fours so that each tile had a chance to be speckless. The carpets went through "deep" cleansing.. so soft and fluffy. We cleared useless items around the house and rearranged the furniture. Now, the place looks so breathable.
It is all about wanting to change, right?
It's the 3rd Monday of semester 1. Don't disappoint myself.
