my fourth week of holidays and im feeling like shit. what about those elderly in community homes where their tomorrows are just another aimless blessing.
ever since the primary 4 compulsory community service trip to the old folks home, i never wanted to have such close encounter with them. my aunt tried to talk me into helping out in the old folks home but.. it was always a failed attempt. their wrinkled skin and alien language were enough to scare me into tears...
however, tears was not invovled over the weekend..
woiloon brought me to Soup Van, a charity organisation, to help prepare food and distribute it to the old folks at Footscray. it was all good.
they welcomed us with a glowing face and the longest thank you.
there were also a few conversation that left me thinking the whole night.
there was a man who said... "yea, definitely it will be a great weekend! quiet and peaceful.. just like a jail..!"
and there were more to come.. when this man came out and told us not to bother knocking as the occupant had died.
some, with pictures of their family everywhere in the studio apartment and ironically, without them inside.
it just saddens you to think that kids left their, some disable, parents there.
their daily life was pretty fixed. tv seems to be their only entertainment.
.. no parents deserve this kind of retirement.
but it's not for me to judge..
that aside..
i cant wait for the 4th!
it's one of the longest wait ever... everyone visited vivocity except me.
you can taste deb's mother's fabulous cooking for xmas... but i cant!
hmm.
oh yes izzah! the guy caught for the G20 riot.. he was actually banned from wholefood because he was a nuisance.. how exciting right... haaha! anyways, i think u can start visiting the portal site around 29th for the results. they can be early.. =)

i still have great parents.
